We stand together...

... or we perish. A modern day Macedonian soldier kneeling in front of a Macedonian from Philip II's phalanx (on the right) and a Slavic archer/skirmisher.

I think that the armor of the phalanx man is relatively accurate, and the archer is in a simple padded armor vest. The modern soldier's equipment is pretty simplified.

This is a sketch that i drew a couple of days ago. It was done with a technical pencil on a standard A4 size printing paper. I had imagined it to be much better, but, the small size of the figures, my limited skill, and my fear of ruining it kept it at this level.
