So, I just came to a very sad realization. I can't draw when I'm satisfied, happy or feel good. That is probably why I hadn't submitted anything for a few months... :(

However, these past fortnight I have been feeling very... down, I guess, and here, sure as sunshine I make a self portrait in little under two hours... FML :depressed:

Anyway, the reason I'm not very good is because I only work with one brush (OK two, a soft round brush and a hard round brush or whatever they are called). But, this time I decided to use this, so I picked a specific brush, and experimented in doing the whole painting with it. The brush, as you might have noticed is "Dune grass". :|
The background color was picked because I needed a contrast so I can see where I've missed a spot, and I left it in.

Done in Adobe Photoshop CS3, using a very cheap mouse.

So, hope you like it.

P.S The reference picture is about six months old, I do not have that beard anymore.

EDIT: Fixed the eye, changed the hair color and removed the black outline on the face.
